- Am 22. April 2018 nahmen Dr. Andreas Lintermann vom SimLab “Highly Scalable Fluids & Solids Engineering”, JARA-HPC, Prof. Walter Koch von AIT,  Dr. Jochen Schachenreiter von AIT und Prof. Klaus Vogt von SUTTER am ersten “World Congress of the Society of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) of the Nose & Airway” (SCONA 2018), London, UK, teil.

Ihre Vorträge “Massively Parallel Grid Generation for Biomedical Flows”, “Analyses of Nasal Cavity Flows Based on Highly-Resolved CFD Computations”, “Segmentation of the Nasal Cavities and Paranasal Sinuses Using Artificial Intelligence”, "Ventilation of the Anterior Ethmoid, the Maxillary and Frontal Sinus with Special Consideration of the Ethmoid Infundibulum with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)“ und “Physical Parameters determining Clinical Indications for CFD Simulations: The New Agreement of the International RIGA Consensus Conference on Nasal Airway Function Tests” trugen dazu bei das Publikum von den wichtigen Arbeiten des Rhinodiagnost Teams zu überzeugen.

Der Kongress brachte Experten aus dem Ingenieurswesen, der Industrie und verschiedenen medizinischen Bereichen zusammen.

Rhinodiagnost participation in SCONA 2018

On April 22, 2018, Dr. Andreas Lintermann from the SimLab “Highly Scalable Fluids & Solids Engineering”, JARA-HPC, Prof. Walter Koch from AIT, Dr. Jochen Schachenreiter from AIT, and Prof. Klaus Vogt from SUTTER participated in the first “World Congress of the Society of CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) of the Nose & Airway” (SCONA 2018), London, UK.

With their talks on “Massively Parallel Grid Generation for Biomedical Flows”, “Analyses of Nasal Cavity Flows Based on Highly-Resolved CFD Computations”, “Segmentation of the Nasal Cavities and Paranasal Sinuses Using Artificial Intelligence”, “Ventilation of the Anterior Ethmoid, the Maxillary and Frontal Sinus with Special Consideration of the Ethmoid Infundibulum with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)“, and “Physical Parameters determining Clinical Indications for CFD Simulations: The New Agreement of the International RIGA Consensus Conference on Nasal Airway Function Tests” they were able to convince the audience of the important work the Rhinodiagnost team performs.

The congress brought together experts from engineering, industry, and various medical sectors.
